Our online therapy program is based on the methods of cognitive behavioral therapy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one of the most commonly used evidence-based psychotherapy for symptoms of depression and anxiety. It has been used for many years with good results for many psychological problems. CBT is based on effective, scientific methods that offer people new ways to handle mental distress. In CBT you learn to reduce distress by changing the way you think and behave. According to NICE (National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence) clinical guidelines, published by the British authorities and used in Iceland, online CBT is recommended as a first line of treatment for symptoms of depression and anxiety.
